The CVS suction unit includes a 37 kW lobe pump capable of generating -500mbar of vacuum. The filtration system consists of a DV-AIR 800 with a filtering surface of 340,000 cm2 class M composed of 4 antistatic cartridges. Each cartridge is equipped with a PPL protective sock to prevent debris from damaging the filter fabric. Thanks to an inspection window it is possible to check and eventually change the filters easily, without disassembling the entire DV-AIR. After the class M primary filter, there is a Hepa 14 filter with a surface of 110,000 cm2 to block any fine particles smaller than 1 micron and protect the suction unit. The ceramic dust is very abrasive: for this reason, we have provided a suction mouth with an interchangeable reinforced stainless steel deflector. A double electro-pneumatic butterfly valve in DN250mm ensures a constant discharge process. A rotating level sensor is located in the collecting cone to ensure that the maximum range of the DV-AIR800 is not exceeded.
